Senior Management Team:

James Kushner
Founder & President

James M. Kushner is Founder and President of MMG, a full service brokerage firm that helps companies profitably maximize the full spectrum of media.  James brings over 18 years of experience in the direct marketing industry.  His last 10 years on the client-side of the industry were spent with Guthy-Renker, the worldwide leader in Direct Response Marketing.  As Vice President of Marketing, he was instrumental in growing the Insert, Print, and Alternative Media channels at Guthy-Renker from minor rolls into major sources of new customer acquisition for the $1.5 billion dollar company.  Previous to that, he held various marketing and media positions with B-to-C and B-to-B firms in the greater Los Angeles area.

James has overseen the placement of hundred of millions of dollars in various media channels, including Insert Media, Print Media, Direct Mail, Internet, Radio, and DRTV vehicles.  He has profitably placed billions of inserts over his career thus far, generating profitable customers for his employers and MMG clients.  His experience is primarily in Direct Response Marketing, but has also worked with General Advertising, Sampling, and Brand Response product marketers.

James is a regularly invited speaker at numerous local (East and West Coast) events and multiple national DMA conferences.  He holds a BA in Business Economics with a Minor in Accounting from UCLA, and more recently earned an MBA with highest distinction from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.


Marina Zakry

Vice President

Marina Zakry is Vice President of MMG, heading up our New York office.  Marina has over 15 years of agency side experience with both large and boutique shops, working on General Advertising and Direct Marketing campaigns.  Marina's career in Direct Marketing began at Rapp Collins before moving over to OMD Direct.  At OMD, she was responsible for the planning and buying of millions of dollars in Direct Response media (Insert Media, Print Media, Direct Mail, Internet, and DRTV), helping clients optimize spending through aggressive front-end negotiations and back-end optimization strategies.

Marina left OMD in May of 2006 in search of new challenges, and joined ISA Advertising.  At ISA, Marina was responsible for overseeing, analyzing and optimizing Print Media for the Guthy-Renker (Proactiv) account and other ISA clients.  This included managing the insertion of advertisements into well over 100+ Print Media vehicles, all driving sales at or below campaign goals.

Now with MMG, Marina works closely with James and team, using her strong strategy and killer negotiating skills to build new media channel revenue for its clients.  This involves the research, planning, negotiating, placement, and analysis of campaigns both large and small.  She takes pride in working one-on-one with our clients to ensure that their needs are exceeded in a prompt and effective manner.
 

Stacee Kosaka
Senior Account Executive, Client Services

Stacee Kosaka also brings over 15 years of brokerage experience, working closely with both larger and smaller clients in various vertical categories.  At MMG, Stacee coordinates all facets of our clients' campaign execution, which includes timeline management, media processing and confirmations, mechanicals compliance, and materials management for millions of collateral material each month.
